Governor Fund Page
A note from our Chair of Governors, Youichi Iisaka:
As many of you will know, St Hugh of Lincoln is an academy within the state education system. As a Catholic school, we belong to the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton and are part of the Xavier Catholic Education Trust.
While our children's education is state-funded, the school is required to contribute 10% towards building works, site repairs, and general improvements. To meet these costs, the Governors of the school have established the St Hugh Governor School Development Fund (the "School Development Fund").
We are fortunate to have the option to choose a Church School for our children. Having exercised that choice, we ask that families support the ongoing maintenance of the school through voluntary contributions. Your support helps us manage rising costs and budget constraints while continuing to provide outstanding facilities for all our pupils.
The School Development Fund has enabled many projects to take place over the last few years, enhancing the children's learning experience. Recent examples include:
• Replacing the old boiler;
• Creating the multi-use games area (MUGA);
• Investing in a new IT server and 30 laptops for the children to use in class;
• Creation and on-going maintenance of the Creation Garden;
• Upgraded classroom technology, including interactive whiteboards and tablets;
• Our new History Timeline; and
• Choral Singing Programme – who are the 2025 winners of The Millennium Shield.
These maintenance and refurbishment projects directly benefit the children by ensuring a safe and welcoming environment, both now and for the future.
If you are able to do so, we respectfully suggest a contribution of between £5.00 - £10.00 per family, per month, regardless of how many children you have at the school. Contributions can be made as a one-off donation or spread over several months.
We have set up a CAF account to enable secure online donations and collect Gift Aid on our behalf. We would be very grateful if you could make your contribution using the link below or by scanning the QR code provided: https://cafdonate.cafonline.org/27554.

If you are eligible, please remember to select Gift Aid, as this allows us to claim an additional 25p for every £1 donated at no extra cost to you.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and for your continued support of our children’s education.
Thank you for your support.
