Governor Fund Page

A note from our Chair of Governors, Mike O’Donovan:

Thank you for choosing to send your child to our Catholic school.  As you may know, faith schools have traditionally had to contribute 10% to any capital project funding and as a Catholic school in the Xavier Catholic Education Trust, the school Governors Fund must contribute 10% of the cost of any capital projects, such as building and general site repairs and improvements.   We do this from our ‘Governors School Development Fund’.

The Governors' School Development Fund is made up of voluntary donations from parents of children at St Hugh, for the benefit of the children at the school and over the years, the majority of our parents have chosen to contribute monthly to the Governors’ School Development Fund at St Hugh Catholic Primary School to enable the school to develop both buildings and resources to provide the best education for our children. In the last five years, these contributions have funded or part-funded exciting ventures such as our school minibus, our creation garden, computing facilities and swimming lessons.

We would love to continue to develop our provision and facilities while your child is at St Hugh and would ask you to consider signing up for monthly donations in the same way if you have the financial capacity to do so.

Most families donate £10 per child per month, some are willing and able to donate more but we welcome any donation large or small.

It's really easy to make your donation to the Governor's Fund. If you would like to donate online, even a one-off donation, the CAF Donate account for the Governor’s Fund can be viewed here:
