A good school provides a rounded education for the whole person.
And a good Catholic school, over and above this, should help all its students to become saints….” Pope Benedict XVI, 2010
The Catholic Life of our school is rich in opportunities for children to encounter God and to deepen their relationship with Him. Through prayer, liturgies, RE lessons, through the relationships and support for each other that children, staff and parents enjoy within the school community, we enable the children to come to know and love God.
At St Hugh Of Lincoln Catholic Primary School, every person is valued for who they are. We want to instil in our pupils a sense of drive and purpose to become the best they can be by making the most of their gifts and talents. By doing this, they will be better able to serve others, achieve and flourish and come to ‘live life to the full.’
Religious icons can be found throughout the school. High quality displays of work in RE can be seen in classrooms and all around the school. Each class has a prayer focus area, with a liturgical cloth in the appropriate colour. The Christian values at the heart of our Catholic faith incorporate British values and we aim in everything we do to further each child’s sense of commitment and responsibility to themselves, to others as global citizens.
