Uniform

Wearing school uniform smartly is an important sign of pride in the school, and pride in self.  We therefore expect all children to wear correct school uniform.  All St Hugh of Lincoln School uniform bearing the school’s name and logo is available from Valentino, Knaphill.  Items in the lists below marked with an asterisk are available from the school Friends, via the school.

Girls

Red and white chequered summer dress (may be worn up to October half-term)

Red uniform sweatshirt or red uniform cardigan (Reception Class / Key Stage 1)

Red uniform V-necked jumper (Key Stage 2)

Red or grey tights

White socks (not trainer socks)

White polo shirt (Reception Class / Key Stage 1)

White school shirt (Key Stage 2)

School tie (Key Stage 2)

Grey pinafore dress / grey trousers (Reception Class / Key Stage 1)

Grey skirt / grey trousers (Key Stage 2)

PE kit (red uniform polo shirt, black shorts), with grey jogging bottoms and grey sweatshirt optional

Black school shoes

Trainers for PE (preferred to plimsolls)

School uniform coat (optional) / a plain dark coat

Hair accessories must be plain, ‘soft’, and in school colours (ie. red or white).  Nail varnish is not permitted.

Children are not allowed to wear jewellery, including earrings or studs.

 

We do not have the storage space for bags larger than the school messenger bags / backpacks, so the only occasions when children should be bringing in other large bags are if a child takes part in an after-school activity where a change of clothing is required.
