Admissions
St Hugh of Lincoln Catholic Primary School has been established to serve the needs of the Catholic Parish of St Hugh of Lincoln.
We encourage parents to visit our school in order to find out more about how we work and the education that we offer. Parents are welcome to arrange a visit by contacting the school office. However, such visits are not obligatory and do not form part of the process of deciding which children are to be offered a place at the school.
Our pupils primarily live in the parish of St Hugh of Lincoln, Knaphill, but we welcome applications from beyond these boundaries too. The parish boundaries are illustrated in this map.
Admissions to Reception Year
We operate under the local authority’s coordinated admissions scheme. Since St Hugh of Lincoln is a Voluntary Aided school, the Governors determine the school’s admission policy in conjunction with the Diocese and local authority.
In order to apply, you must obtain a Register of Interest form.
The admissions procedures for admissions to the Reception year in September 2010 are here and the admissions policy is here. The Supplementary Form for admissions is here.
Other admissions
Occasionally, vacancies arise mid-year and in all year groups. We do not operate a formal waiting list.
Please address all enquiries to the school office. An application form to be completed in the case of the transfer of a pupil between schools is here.
Prospectus
The current prospectus is here.
Visiting the school
We welcome visitors at any time, and we are very happy to show prospective parents around.
The main opportunity to do this is at an open day for applicants.
The dates of the next open mornings, for September 2011 admissions, will be published here when announced.
After St Hugh’s
The majority of pupils move on to St John the Baptist Secondary School (SJB), when they leave St Hugh’s at the end of Year 6. Information about admissions to St John the Baptist, including the admissions policy, is on the SJB website.
