Children in Year 6 attended Junior Citizen workshops yesterday morning. The workshops take place each year for children in Year 6, and are organised by Surrey Police in conjunction with other services. This year’s workshops were held at Woking Football Club.
During the course of the morning the children took part in a number of sessions learning more about keeping safe and about being a ‘good citizen’. Amongst the work the children did, they learned about what to do in the event of a fire, about hazards around the home and particularly in the kitchen, about the consequences of anti-social behaviour such as littering and graffiti, about electrical safety, water safety, and stranger danger. Associated with stranger danger is on-line safety, or e-safety. It was during this workshop that the photograph was taken (in the Woking FC boardroom!)
