School council
The School Council at St Hugh of Lincoln School is made up of 14 children – 2 from each class. They organise circle time with their class and talk about ideas to help the school. The ideas are brought up during the next meeting and are discussed between everyone. The School Council exists to give and provide suggestions for Mrs Bullen to consider.
Mr G Jones, one of the school governors, attends all meetings of the School Council.

The School Council has met for the first time this school year. The minutes of the meeting are here. There was a prayer to welcome everyone. The prayer that Billy used was from Yr 6’s Bianca. Matters arising - ask class if they think ‘borrow a book’ day is a good idea. Remind class that the school council boards are there. Before next meeting get some leaflets about tables and benches and what we want. Ask class if there is something bothering them, who do they go to? Having a worry box is a good idea. Talked about other things to do with playground development. Date of next meeting: Thursday 30th April 2009.
