Year 1 (Foxglove)

Class teacher: Mrs E Rose

Year 1 is the first of the two years of Key Stage 1.

Amongst the areas of work in Year 1 are Light and Sound, Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot, Growing plants, Our local area, Pushes and pulls, and Self-portraits.

Children in Year 1 enjoy an annual trip to Gatton Park.

Each of the children in Year 1 has a ‘reading buddy’ in Year 6, who they read with once a week.
